Car Break-Ins
In the early morning hours of the 26th, day after Thanksgiving, several cars on Ash Street (Ash Street is half way between Cornelius Pass and German Town) were entered and small items such as GPS, Wallets, Cameras, & Handicap parking permit were taken. All the cars were unlocked. Haven't locked our cars up here since moving here 26 years ago. Guess we better start.

Why Common Birds Aren’t So Common Anymore
By Leslie Hildula
Forest Park Neighborhood Association
We have less birds in Oregon than we used to. The good news is that we can do something about the top three hazards for birds.
:(in order of impact
1. Loss of habitat
2. Unrestrained cats
3. Big windows of glass
4. Communication towers
5. Collisions with transmission, distribution lines & fences
6. Electrocutions
7. Wind power development
8. Fisheries & Bycatch
source: Mike Green, Migratory Bird Coordinator, US Forest & Wildlife Service.
We can protect our birds’ habitat. For example, the Western Meadowlark are year round residents, needing grassland and pastureland. Late April through early July, they nest on the ground and need to be protected from lawn mowers and cats. Nesting season is their most vulnerable time. They are declining at a rate of 2% per year. Today we only have about 600 meadowlarks left in the Willamette Valley.

It also lists many governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations that provide services to the Skyline neighborhood.
Listing of organizations and businesses herein does not imply any endorsement of SRN nor does it imply a lack of endorsement for similar organizations or businesses not included. =)
