COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS:

Neighbors West Northwest Fund Raiser

Greetings, Forest Park neighbors

Our Coalition partner, Neighbors West Northwest (who provide support services to many of our neighborhood activities) would like to invite us all to the following fundraiser, a special performance of 'Reasons to be Pretty."  The event takes place next Thursday, May 12th.

Best,
Jerry Grossnickle
FPNA President
Subject: Neighbors West-Northwest Coalition Fundraiser

Join us for a special fundraising preview performance of Reasons to Be Pretty by Neil La Bute on Thursday, May 12th. A love story about the impossibility of love, Reasons to Be Pretty introduces us to Greg, who really truly adores his girlfriend, Steph. Unfortunately, he also thinks she has a few physical imperfections, and when he casually mentions them, all hell breaks loose. This performance contains adult language and situations.

Thanks to Coho Productions, for donating one night of theater a year to benefit Neighbors West-Northwest. This is your opportunity to see great theater, talk with neighborhood activists from across our area, and enjoy delicious refreshments.  Thursday, May 12th the reception begins at 7:00 PM and the performance starts at 8:00 PM.  Buy your tickets today for $20 a piece, or $15 for students, seniors and educators. Tickets can be purchased online atwww.chooseculture.org (type Coho in the 3rd search box), or call 503-205-0715.  You may also walk into the coalition office during weekday business hours. 80% of your ticket sales are tax-deductible. If you have any questions about the fundraiser please contact NWNW directly at 503-823-4288.

If you can't attend the play but still would like to show your support, you can donate to Neighbors West-Northwest now via paypal here:  http://www.nwnw.org/get-involved/support-us/paypal/
You can also place a check in the mail to Neighbors West-Northwest/2257 NW Raleigh St/Portland, OR 97210.

The Neighbors West-Northwest Coalition promotes direct participation in grassroots democracy by supporting community efforts at the neighborhood level.  Our services advance the voices of our constituent Neighborhood Associations as they strive to create livable, sustainable and equitable communities.

WANTED:
Track-Hoe with thumb and a couple of buckets needed
Added: 04/29/2011 - 8:23pm
I am looking for a small or medium size track-hoe to use for a long weekend (three days) or so about 2 or three times a year. Our place is up Watson Rd in Scapposse and we would need it dropped off. We don't have enough to pay regular rental fees but could probably scrape up $250 or $300 dollars. I have experience with this kind of equipment and it would mostly be used for road/trail work, firewood log collection and brush clearing.
